Ramadan Mubarak!

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, parents around the world look for effective strategies to involve and prepare their children for this spiritually enriching time.

Ramadan is such a blessed month where families to come together to deepen their faith, and instill valuable traditions in their children.

Sanaa Schooling Online would like to provide families with some tips to help parents prepare their kids for Ramadan.

Educate About the Significance of Ramadan: Begin by explaining the significance of Ramadan to your children. Emphasize its importance as a month of fasting, reflection, and increased devotion to Allah.

Lead by Example: Children learn best by observing the behavior of their parents. Demonstrate your commitment to Ramadan by practicing acts of worship such as fasting, increased prayers, and acts of charity.

Explain the Purpose of Fasting: Children will often wonder why we fast and what is the purpose of fasting? You can begin to explain to your children that we fast during Ramadan to deepen our spirituality, practice self-discipline, and empathize with those less fortunate.

Create Ramadan Crafts and Activities: This will not only encourage a positive atmosphere by engaging in Ramadan-themed crafts and activities with your children, but this will also provide them activities to distract them during the day and make fasting more enjoyable. You can also create some traditions within your family by decorating your home with handmade decorations, create Ramadan journals, and organize storytelling sessions about the significance of the month.

Encourage Learning and Acts of Worship: You can encourage your children during the month of Ramadan to engage in acts of charity, they can volunteer, help around the house, or prepare food for those in need.

Acts of Worship: Encouraging small steps towards bigger goals are excellent for your children. Encourage them to read a certain amount of pages of Quran per day. If they are younger encourage listening and if you are already not registered in our school, take some time to review our courses.

Preparing children for Ramadan is not just about observing rituals; it’s about nurturing their spiritual growth and fostering a love for their faith.
